The Taliban have seized Kabul. The new security and economic architecture in Afghanistan are going to be different from the one followed by Kabul in the last 20 years. The new influencers, viz. China, Pakistan, Russia, and Iran, will be happy to see that the US influence reduces further. China and Pakistan will also try to minimize Indian engagement. For India, already countering hostilities at the LAC with China and the LoC with Pakistan, an unfriendly government in Kabul can only complicate its strategic options.
